Originally from Milton, Massachusetts, I graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa in 2008 with a B.A. in Philosophy with Honors. Since then, I have been a full-time tutor, first in Boston and then in New York City, where I,ve lived since 2010. I have spent the last two summers at PROMYS for Teachers at Boston University, a transformative program centered on helping educators experience deep mathematics and transfer genuine mathematical experiences to their students. Outside of tutoring, I make a medieval history podcast, edit a literary magazine, participate in reading groups with friends, and play every musical instrument. (Yep, all of them! Nope, not at all well!)
